50 Days of Winter

January 28, 2018













There are fifty-one days left of winter. If you live in New England, winter temps realistically linger around until April. This means that from now until the ground finally thaws and the flowers bloom I will be wearing mostly sweaters and comfy jeans. Fifty-one days is a good amount of time, especially when scrolling through Instagram pics of others enjoying an early spring. The pictures above are some of my favorite sweaters from winter’s past. I tend to be drawn to nordic sweaters, cozy turtlenecks and cable knits. They are the ideal pieces to pack for cozy cabin weekends. 


For this post I rounded up an assortment of sweaters that are perfectly suitable for the rest of the season’s everyday wear, ski trips, and weekend jaunts around town. Many of these sweaters are currently on sale which is one of the best things about this time of year, the end of winter sales. While putting together this post I came across a couple of sweaters that were must haves from Rebecca Taylor here and here. I can’t wait until they arrive in the mail this week!

    I know exactly how you feel, Sarah. Sitting here in Canada (where there will be snow right up to April!) and feeling quite jealous of those in the south getting an early spring.
