I've been following your blog for a while and I love it! I especially enjoy checking out your preppy style as my tastes run similar to yours. Congratulations on your baby, too…following your pregnancy was fun for me because I was about 3-4 weeks behind you and gave birth to a girl a week ago. I'm also an East Coast girl, but I'm from Nova Scotia. Maybe because I'm Canadian I assumed the throw in the Christmas guide was a Hudson's Bay Company blanket. The blankets, with their distinctive green, red, navy, and yellow stripes are iconic and historically important up here, and they're beautiful. I was disappointed to see that the blanket you recommend is not an authentic HBC piece but a very good knockoff. It used to be that you had to cross the border to obtain HBC products, but they're now available at Lord & Taylor. Hopefully you won't think I'm being a jerk as I really do admire your writing and aesthetic. Happy Holidays and all the best to you and yours!
