Bermuda Sunshowers

It amazes me that Bermuda is only two hours away by plane, and seemingly worlds apart from New England. I love the colorful buildings, turquoise water, pink sand beaches, rocky outcrops, and lush tropical vegetation. For an island that is 22 miles long and roughly a mile wide (at its widest point it is 3 miles wide), there is so much to see and do. 

When the Hamilton Princess Hotel and Beach Club invited Kiel and me to stay for our babymoon, it was an offer we couldn’t refuse. We’ve been dying to go someplace tropical since we had to cancel our trip to the Caribbean earlier this year. Bermuda not only fits the tropical bill, but it’s Zika Free, and so close to home. I couldn’t handle a long flight at this stage of my pregnancy. Truth be told I don’t love long flights regardless. 

During our trip, Kiel and I captured a lot of shots of  the gorgeous scenery that can be found around the island and at the hotel. I will be sharing those images along with our trip itinerary in an upcoming post. This is the only outfit post I took on the trip. I couldn’t resist the gorgeous iconic pink backdrop of the Hamilton Princess Hotel and grounds. (Fun fact it was painted pink in 1964.) This Club Monaco dress was a recent purchase and I was initially nervous that it wouldn’t fit me. I’m wearing my normal size XS. It’s not a maternity piece. I was able to make it work due to the elastic waist and overall roominess of the dress.  If you look closely it’s a toile print with ostriches, tropical trees, and monkeys. I’m in love!
