This hot and humid August weather has me longing for crisp fall air and fall layers. I’ve reached that point in the summer where I’m looking forward to taking my favorite wool sweaters, plaid shirts, and tweed blazers out of storage. There is something exciting about dressing for a new season. While I’m not ready to call it quits on summer just yet, I cannot resist some of the latest fall arrivals from my favorite brands. 

The weather is a tad too hot to pull off most of the new fall looks, but a classic black and white combo is perfect for all seasons.  The shirt and shoes featured in this post are a recent purchase from J.Crew that I will be a wearing well into winter. I love, love, love these block heeled shoes. They will look great with jeans, tights, and dresses in the colder months. To complete this look I wore my new Anderson Way Lietta Kate Spade bag. I love the subtle bead detailing that dresses up a casual look and enhances evening attire.
