Ledges in Newport, Rhode Island is something of a dream. Settled on a
spectacular promontory off Ocean Drive, the view from the house
is mesmerizing. I could sit on the porch overlooking the water for an
entire summer.
Ledges has been in the Cushing Family for 150 years. While the family
still resides there, the home is available to rent. (Click the Ledges
link for more details). I can’t think of a better place to read books,
and enjoy sunset cocktails.
