From Boat Shoes to Blazers

This spring Lilly Pulitzer is running a special promotion “You’ll never forget your first Lilly…” Lilly fans are asked to share their Lilly firsts including topics such as first love in Lilly and first celebration in Lilly for a chance to win a VIP trip to one of Lilly Pulitzer’ s favorite destinations. I loved having the opportunity to post these pictures from a very memorable evening! These pictures were taken a couple of years before I started CGWP.

I’ll never forget my first celebration in Lilly… The first event we ever put together for Kiel James Patrick was a Boat Shoes to Blazer themed end of Summer party in Newport,RI at 41 North in 2010. It was a lively evening spent sipping
cocktails, dancing (Kiel and Fred Castleberry of Unabashedly Prep had the attention of the room with their perfectly synchronized Thriller moves), and shopping the local brands. Everyone was dressed in their colorful best and I chose to wear
the Lilly Jonah dress in Don’t Be Koi. I love looking back at pictures from that night and am so glad I decided to wear a Lilly for my first company event. Years later it is still one of my favorite dresses.
